Lemon Twilight Indigo Soap

These small batch bars are lightly scented with a Lemon Verbena essential oil blend, gently cleansing and lightly conditioning. They are lovingly crafted here on the homestead with indigo pigments from my very own patch of Japanese Indigo, Persicaria tinctoria. Each color, even the pink indirubin anchoring this bar, is from different summer extractions of the dye.

It smells great and has a good lather. The lather has a slight blue tint while you use it, but washes down the drain with normal rinsing. This is the bar is my favorite for handwashing, while the Smoky Pine Tar is my favorite for showering.
